De 25-jarige Kassidy Linde woog na haar zwangerschap 117 kilo. Dit was het moment waarop ze besloot om haar leven te beteren zodat haar dochtertje later naar haar op zou kijken.
Ze begon met haar transformatie in 2015, en 18 maanden later heeft ze haar gewicht gehalveerd door 63 kilo af te vallen. Aan People vertelde ze hoe onzeker ze was geworden over haar lichaam. “It got to the point that whenever I would look in the mirror, I wasn’t able to find anything beautiful about myself,” vertelde ze.
“I have an 18-month-old daughter, and I would feel terrible if she ever felt this way about herself. I wanted her to look up to me and admire me, so I changed myself.” En dat is haar vast en zeker gelukt. Door zichzelf aan de onderstaande zes stappen te houden transformeerde ze haar hele lichaam én zelfbeeld.

If you are new to my page , I would like to tell you a little bit about who I am! ———————————- My name is Kassidy and I am 25 years old. I am 5’6 , weight approximately 135 lbs and I am around 20% body fat. I started my journey on May 22, 2015 , 2 weeks after the birth of my daughter. My highest weight was 260 pounds and I am currently half of that that. How did I do it? I started meal planning and working out ! I made little goals and I accomplished them one at a time. My stretch marks DID NOT disappear . I have so much cellulite , it’s ridiculous lol. My lower tummy and inner thighs are major problem areas when it comes to extreme weightloss. But ya know, this is who I am! I don’t have a sexy little body like a lot of beautiful woman out there but I do have a strong body because I’ve worked hard for it! I’ve had a few different articles written about me in the last 6 months and I read some of the comments from people and they’re crazy! “That’s not the same person!” “Her tattoo switched arms!” “She’s young, she has a fast metabolism.” “This is all a lie.” “She lost weight for her daughter ? How about losing weight because you’re fat!?” “It was pregnancy weight, who cares.” And the list goes on, y’all. I don’t think twice about these comments. They don’t offend me at all. I know what I’ve went through to get where I am today and I’m not here to prove myself to anyone . What those comments do is discourage other readers who are there for the motivation or in need of some inspiration. Those comments convince other people that stories like this are all made up bullshit, when in fact, they aren’t. I’m a very normal and average person. I like to eat red velvet Oreos. I love beer. I’m a mom. I’m lazy sometimes and I don’t always make the best decisions . But I did accomplish something great and I am here to share it with thousands of people! And guess what? YOU CAN DO IT TOO! I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it.

1. 3,5 liter water drinken per dag
Ze besloot zichzelf streng toe te spreken en het drinken van heel veel water elke dag vol te houden. “I started drinking a gallon of water a day,” vertelde ze. Dit is ongeveer 3,5 liter water wat ze verdeelde over 16 glazen gedurende de dag. Bottoms up, het is tijd om ons flesje weer even bij te vullen.
2. Het dieet zo simpel mogelijk houden
Ze at vooral simpele ingrediënten zoals kip, tonijn, kalkoen, fruit, groentes en granen. Het was ook niet erg om dit af en toe over te slaan en een cheat meal te eten
If I want it , I get it. I’ve worked hard yall. I don’t mean with fad diets and working out every now and then. I mean I have completely dedicated myself to this lifestyle. I have given up SO MUCH to be able to get where I am today. You know how many people “I annoy” or how many people have unfollowed me because of all of my “annoying fitness stuff” I post? Can you believe people actually get annoyed when someone has worked overtime to FINALLY be confident and proud of themselves ? There are millions of different things that people become passionate about. Whether that be nursing, animals , meditation, law school , religion, etc. THIS is what I love to do. This is what I’m good at. This is what I like to share . I don’t need compliments from people or people to like my pictures. I need to motivate other people and inspire those who seriously don’t believe in themselves. By sharing this stuff , I truly believe I am helping AT LEAST 1 person out there . 3. Nooit, maar dan ook nóóit, calorieën tellen
Ze at überhaupt al gezonder, en daarnaast wist ze precies hoeveel ze nodig had om vol te zitten. Hierdoor at ze genoeg porties zonder te stressen over hoeveel calorieën ze at.
4. Elke week maaltijden voorbereiden
‘Meal-prepping’. Het is een methode die we mooi, maar ook heel lastig vinden. Hoe bereid je al je maaltijden voor een hele week voor zonder verveeld te raken? Linde zelf vertelde dat ze vooral eet om aan te sterken in plaats van voor genot, waardoor ze het niet erg vond dat het een beetje saai werd. Zondagavond ging ze aan de slag met al haar maaltijden, die vooral bestonden uit kip, rijst en groente.

5. Een schema goed blijven volgen
Ook als ze geen zin had om naar de sportschool te gaan, sleepte ze zich er alsnog naartoe. Zo vertelde ze op Instagram dat het zien van resultaten haar heel erg motiveren. “(..) once you start seeing results, it becomes an addiction. Some days you won’t want to go, GO ANYWAY. The days you overcome are the days that count the most!”.
6. Continu je vooruitgang blijven bijhouden
Ze raakte heel erg gemotiveerd om het nóg beter te doen door haar resultaten publiekelijk bij te houden op Instagram. Ze heeft inmiddels ook al meer dan 12.000 volgers die ze stuk voor stuk ook probeert te motiveren om hetzelfde te doen. “Putting yourself out there and letting yourself be vulnerable to thousands of people really makes you want to give it your all and do your best.”
Don’t talk about it, be about it!!! Anyone can say they’re gonna do something but only few really put in the hard work to achieve their goals. AND TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES. Pictures are such a huge part of your progress. I’m not exaggerating when I say I have thousands of pictures. Some of my favorite breakfast items are : egg whites , eggs, turkey bacon , turkey sausage , whole grain waffles , sugar free syrup , spray butter, Kellogg protein Cinamon cereal with unsweetened almond milk , or sugar free brown sugar oatmeal. Today was #LEGDAY. Definitely not my favorite, but it has to get done. And not only once a week, but twice a week 🙄. My legs are my problem area, for sure! They look decent in pants but not-so-decent in shorts unfortunately. But with hard work, one day I will be where I want to be! Let’s say it together: MAY MY ASS GET FATTER AND MY STOMACH GET FLATTER 🙂 Work out: *One leg, leg extensions 5×10 (each leg) *Standing backwards on hip abduction 3×20 *Machine kick backs 3×10 (each leg) *Heavy leg press 3×12, 3×8 *Bulgarian split squats 3×10 (each leg) , holding 10 pound plate OVER head *Seated calf raises Breakfast & Lunch: Breakfast- 3 egg whites, 1 egg scrambled with a whole grain English muffin, 1/2 banana and cinnamon (During work out I drank my BCAAS, yummmmy.) Lunch: 2 SMALL tortillas with crock pot shredded chicken, fat free sour cream, franks buffalo sauce, and shredded lettuce.

EXCUSE THE BOOTY PICTURE! I don’t usually post pictures of my backside for comparison but I decided to today. I’m actually a very covered up person. I don’t wear short shorts, short dresses, belly shirts, or tops that show my cleavage. I only show my body so bare like this so y’all can see real changes. (So, I am sorry in advance if this offends anybody!) Anyway, you’ve got to appreciate the little changes . The picture on the left, I had already lost a significant amount of weight. I’m talking probably at least 80 pounds. I was definitely feeling confident ! The two pictures are around a year apart! Not only have my glutes lifted and thinned out in width, but my cellulite is slowly but surely fading. Also, my hips have shrunk and my back has gained quite a bit more muscle. Consistency is key. SMALL CHANGES ARE STILL CHANGES! Without the small , unnoticeable changes , you will never see the big noticeable changes. Trust the process. I’m hoping to see dramatic changes in another year! This is for life! This isn’t something that has a finish line , this is a lifelong marathon. Have fun with it! Switch things up, take lots of pictures, and give yourself a pat on the back once and a while!
