De Netflix-docu ‘Scouts Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America’, die op 6 september is uitgekomen, onderzoekt een van de grootste schandalen over seksueel misbruik van kinderen. Een van de grootste jongerenorganisaties in de VS – met meer dan 700.000 leden – probeerde namelijk een van de grootste seksueel misbruik schandalen in de geschiedenis te verdoezelen.

Deze nieuwe documentaire bevat exclusieve interviews met overlevenden en ex-werknemers over deze vreselijke voorvallen. Sinds Michael Johnson, een voormalige jeugd van de Boy Scouts, naar buiten kwam over hoe de jongerengroep systematisch duizenden gevallen van seksueel misbruik van kinderen verdoezelde stroomde de verhalen binnen. Dit resulteerde in ruim 82.000 klachten over seksueel misbruik bij de Scouting.
