Mathilde voelde zich altijd best op haar gemak in haar lichaam: ze had altijd al overgewicht, ze was een groot voorstander van body positivity, had een leuke vriendengroep en werd nooit gepest.

Toch waren er dingen waar ze zich aan stoorde: ze kon haar vriendinnen nooit bijhouden, raakte snel uitgeput en voelde zich daardoor gevangen in haar eigen lichaam.

Toen ze in een pretpark de achtbaan niet in mocht omdat ze te zwaar was, was het genoeg: ze wilde nu echt iets aan haar gewicht gaan doen. Met een steng regime van trainingen en gezonde voeding halveerde ze bijna haar gewicht. Mathilde’s ultieme tip? Eet met een kleinere lepel, bijvoorbeeld een dessert- of theelepel. Daardoor eet je langzamer en kan je lichaam je sneller doorgeven dat je vol zit.

Inmiddels is Mathilde zelf personal trainer en heeft ze een Instagram-account vol met fit-inspiratie. You go, girl!

Never quit or give up! 2011 vs 2016 – Lost 140 lbs/63kilo on my own READ BELOW _ You have to make small goals for yourself. Take one day at a time, don’t give up and you’ll see the results after a short time as long as you remember NOT to give up or “fall in” ?? If you truly want to lose weight you’ll be able to stay focused and determined ?? You just gotta stay strong and don’t look back! _ Ask yourself: “What if I lost 1 lbs every 10th day or every week? Where will I be in one year if I start today?” _ By telling myself that I stayed motivated – So don’t quit because “you think it doesn’t matter anyways…” _ Stay focused and remember your goals – they’re not that far away if only you keep pushing! _ How I started was basically just from one day to another – I had enough! So that must have been what kept me going. And trust me; I’ve failed MANY times before trying to lose weight, but in 2012 I simply had enough and I’ve never looked back! _ I went from 268lbs (120kg) or even more to 125lbs (57kg) – and now I’m around 149lbs (68-70kg) ❤️ I’m 5’9/176cm. TUMMY TUCK ?? I’ve never showed a picture of my old stomach – I HATED my old look! I felt terrible and it killed me mentally… Because of the mental harm it caused and some other qualifications the hospital paid for my operation – I’m so blessed! I’m 20 years I can’t afford operations that expensive ? It doesn’t look that bad in the picture tho, but irl it was terrible! I’ve worked my ASS of at the gym to get the body I have today + dieting right! After I had my tummy tuck I was literally skin, bones and a tiny bit of muscle mass.. My weight said 57 kg/125 lbs (ish) and I’m 176/5’9 ? But then I started bulking! And I had my workout program made by @frederiklundberg – and DAAAMN! It has really paid of ?????? But it takes a lot!! of food and HEAVY lifting ????
