It was about damn time! Lizzo’s documentaire ‘Love, Lizzo’ is vanaf déze datum te zien op HBO Max

Lizzo fans, maak je klaar! Volgende maand is Lizzo namelijk te zien op het kleine scherm, gewoon bij je thuis. De 34-jarige zangeres deelde afgelopen woensdag via Instagram het nieuws dat ze een documentaire over haar leven en carrière uit gaat brengen. En wij gaan deze zeker kijken.

Lizzo krijgt een eigen documentaire op HBO Max

Gisteren, woensdag 12 oktober, deelde Lizzo op haar Instagram dat ze eind volgende maand te zien is op HBO Max met haar nieuwe docu. De documentaire werd afgelopen mei al bekend gemaakt, maar toen had de productie nog geen officiële titel en release date.

De documentaire krijgt de naam Love, Lizzo en de subtitel luidt “Truth Heals”, wat afgeleid is van haar hitnummer uit 2019 “Truth Hurts”.

Warner Media deelde in mei al dat de documentaire omschreven kan worden als “the journey of a trailblazing superstar who has become the movement the world desperately needed just by being herself.”

“The HBO Max documentary shares the inspirational story behind her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise. With an intimate look into the moments that shaped her hard-earned rise to fame, success, love and international stardom.”

Vol enthousiasme

Lizzo vertelde tijdens de press release al dat ze erg enthousiast is om eindelijk de documentaire te delen. Zo zegt ze: “Growing up I never dreamed I’d get to experience all of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started. I’m so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max.”

“From ‘Cuz I Love You’ to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album ‘Special’. Y’all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process. It takes ten years to become an ‘overnight success,’ and hopefully I can inspire other young creatives to keep going.”

Je kan de documentaire vanaf donderdag 24 november exclusief streamen op HBO Max.
